Challenging

My 7 year old son has recently gotten into jugsaw puzzles. It’s a great way for him to settle down before bedtime and a good way to spend some time with him. I bought this for him after he flew through two other 500 piece puzzles. This sucker is HARD! The bous 300 piece puzzle is pretty easy, but the foil one is very hard. Maybe it’s my 38 yr old eyes, but I find it hard to SEE the pieces and find that at times it hurts my eyes. I didn’t realize that “foil” meant holographic in regards to this puzzle. You have to have the piece in just the right light to see it and then try to find the connection to the other pieces and hope that they are in the right light as well. I have a feeling that my son will not fly through this one as he did the others.

Not what I ordered/not what is pictured

I ordered this puzzle less than a week ago and it was delivered very quickly. After placing my order I read the reviews and I thought about canceling my order. Many people said they received a different puzzle than the one pictured. I hoped mine would be correct, but it is not. The puzzle is of Padme and there are other characters beneath her. The bonus puzzle is of Darth Vader. It looks nice, but it is not what I ordered. I want to return it but it is so close to Christmas that I feel trapped. My own fault for ordering late, but still its very bad of amazon to willfully send the wrong item. If its out of stock, just tell us. Don’t send another item and think it will suffice. Very disappointed in amazon on this one.

23Dec2011 POST: Update…the second attempt to receive the right puzzle failed although they got closer. I’ve posted a picture of the 2nd delivery to the images above. This time I got the right 500 piece puzzle but the 300 piece puzzle is NOT included. Needless to say I’m returning it and not trying for a 3rd time. For those in search of this puzzle, I was able to find it IN STOCK at Pottery Barn Kids (PBK). On the PBK website, it says internet only but, if you search your local stores, many of them have a few in stock. If you’re desperate, like I am, for Christmas, it’s worth the search/trip. Best part is, PBK has it for $12.99 and there is no shipping. AMAZON very disappointed in you and I’m disappointed that each time you blame the seller – Amazon fulfills the order and displays it on your website – to me it’s AMAZON’S responsibility to the consumer to GET IT RIGHT!
21Dec2011 POST: Like other buyers, I’ve received the wrong puzzle. Instead of receiving the puzzle advertised on this site (Luke Skywalker with many characters), I received the Queen Amidala with Anakin Skywalker and a lone Darth Vader smaller puzzle. I’m not trying “Round 2″ with Amazon to see if I can get the Right puzzle for Christmas. I will give them a little credit in that they will reimburse me for expedited shipping to try and correct their issues. But my concern is that I’m at least the 4th or 5th complaint of this happening (who know the actual count if buyers don’t leave feedback/reviews). If the item numbers are so similar that fulfillment can’t get it right, then Amazon should find a way to correct this.
So Buyers be warned…shop elsewhere if the puzzle you really want is the puzzle with Luke.
