Ask a group of persons to name the best video game series of all time and you will get most of them saying “Super Mario Bros.” The reason for this is that the series has become iconic throughout the world since it debuted in the mid-1980s on a very primitive scheme called the Nintendo Entertainment System. These days, the Super Mario Bros. are still around, even though on the Nintendo Wii, but they stay as general as ever.
Your kids most likely know who Super Mario Bros. are, and they may just ask you for a Super Mario Bros. themed birthday party. Thankfully, you may provide it to them through the use of your imagination and these party ideas.
Pick Your Team
With the birthday boy or girl, and one other person, have them pick their team for the birthday. Each kid will pick someone, and when everything is said and done, let the birthday boy or girl choose if they want their team to be the Marios or the Luigis. When they choose, then each kid on the Mario team will get a red hat, while each kid on the Luigi team will get a green hat. At this point, the kids may embellish their team hats as they see fit and prepare themselves for the big event.
The Obstacle Course
The Super Mario Bros. games are all when it comes to obstacle courses, so let the kids go through an obstacle course with a fellow member from each team racing each other. Have them jump boxes, go through tubes and such to get to the finish line. After each child has raced, you may add up all the times and see what team won. Then, you give the winning team something big, and the losing team something big as well for attempting so hard. That way every one feels like they won something. It could be a gift bag, or even a little trophy. The choice is yours.
Serve a Block Cake
There are various blocks in Super Mario Bros. that Mario and Luigi have to jump over, so when you make the cake, make it into little blocks that mirror the format of the introductory series that dates back the Nintendo and Super Nintendo. While you are at it, serve galore other pastries that look like the little owls and flying turtles that you see in the games. The kids will love these treats, peculiarly after the obstacle course.
Super Mario Bros. is iconic and even kids today know regarding the exploits of Mario and Luigi. Therefore, they may ask you for a Super Mario Bros. themed birthday and it is going to be up to you to provide it for them. With party furnishes and these party ideas, this is not hard at all.

Great for a Birthday!

My son really loves Super Mario Brothers. The plates, cups, napkins, and centerpiece are a perfect addition for a themed party. I just wish all of the Nintendo character items were cheaper.

Great party idea

I bought this whole set for my sons 5th birthday. It was a big hit, everyone loved the mario theme. The cups, plates and party favors were not cheap and thin. Good quality
