5Great Fun
By P. Parks
This is made in Italy and a terrifi toy. What is more stimulating than building your own instrument and then getting to play it. When they are formulated they look like something you would see in a Dr. Suess book. They are so much fun and compatible with Quercetti’s Tubation set. You then may build even more spectacular and sillier instruments or build any awful creation you may think up! These are also safe for houses with babies. The pieces are rather large!

5Great toy!
By anonymous
My 2 year old son received this toy last year for Christmas and he still plays with it now at 3. My now 18 month old also plays with it and so do their friends when they come over. It is very easy to get a sound out of it, which has encouraged them to play with it more. They like to make new shapes and instruments with it. We love this toy and commend it to others!

2Not a musical instrument!
By Esther Geoffrey
My three-year-old son received this as a present, and he does like it. However, he is much more mesmerized in using it as a construction toy to make shapes than in using it as a musical instrument. This is good, because it is totally unlikely to make music with this toy! There are two options: with a hard blow, you get an ear-piercing shriek; with a soft blow, you may be competent to get a single lower (and not exclusively unpleasant) toot. Changing the shape doesn’t modify the sound in a substantial way, and the holes which are supposed to work like those on a recorder are hit or miss. Only a few of the pieces have holes, and depending on where you place them in your creation, they may or may not change the pitch. Even if they do have an effect, the sound alter is unpredictable. You might be competent to get two or three dissimilar tones (and not in normal whole or half step increments), but not one thing more. The “horns” that go on the end are only for looks; they don’t seem to affect the sound at all. If you would like to buy an annoying whistle that may be made into lots of dissimilar shapes, this is the toy for you. However, if you are looking for a originative instrument that will have some musical instructional value, you will in all probability find this toy to be exceedingly disappointing.
